1. NAME The name of the organisation is Palace Independent Supporters Association (PISA) 2. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES i. To represent the interests of all supporters of Crystal Palace FC.
ii. To campaign within the law on all relevant matters affecting the interests of supporters
iii. To work in partnership with, and influence, Crystal Palace FC, the Police, Central and Local Government, the media and footballing authorities and any other relevant parties to further the interests of supporters of CPFC
NOTE: The remit of PISA specifically excludes matters relating to the playing performance of the team and individual players, and team selection. When commenting publicly on team affairs, PISA members should emphasise that their views are personal and not those of the Association.
3. MEMBERSHIP PISA shall be run as a democratic organisation. Membership is open to all supporters of Crystal Palace FC, their family and friends. This will be non-contributory, but members can sign up by either leaving their e-mail address on the website, or if they do not have regular access to a computer, they can contact PISA by writing in to PISA, PO Box 2005, London SE25 5EN with their home address. A hard copy of any information or newsletter can then be mailed to them.
An AGM will be held annually.
4. ELECTION OF OFFICERS This will take place at the end of each season and will elect a Committee which will include, a Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Membership Secretary. Any registered member can stand for the Committee.
5. MANAGEMENT OF THE COMMITTEE In the event of the Chair resigning or being unable to assume duties, the Committee shall appoint an Acting Chair from within the Committee to take office until the next election.
A Quorum for a Committee Meeting shall be four, at least two of whom are non-office holders.
Should the Chair be absent for all or part of a meeting, the Committee shall appoint a temporary Chair.
6. RESPONSIBILITIES OF TREASURER The Treasurer is responsible for maintenance of an Account for the Association with a recognised Bank or Building Society.
The Treasurer shall ensure that suitable financial controls are in place and that the Association is operating within a legal financial framework.
7. RESPONSIBILITIES OF MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY The Membership Secretary shall maintain an updated record of all Members. If records are held electronically, he/she shall ensure compliance with the 1998 Data Protection Act.
8. RESPONSIBILITIES OF SECRETARY The Secretary shall ensure that proceedings of Committee Meetings are recorded and placed on the website.
The Secretary is also responsible for ensuring that PISA acts in accordance with its constitution.
9. REMOVAL OF OFFICE-HOLDERS Every office-holder must submit themselves for re-election at the end of each season. An elected office-holder can only be removed in the interim by a majority vote of the elected Committee (not only a majority of those present). The Committee shall appoint an Acting Officer until the next election.
