Pisa Committee

Chair - Keith Powell Treasurer - John Finn Secretary - Sue Maisey
5. Other Committee members included - Johan De Sayrah, Paul Mee, Don Madgwick and Dave Morgan
Vote of Thanks
6. A vote of thanks was given for the valuable contribution of Mervyn Pierce who stepped down as Chair and to Keith Powell for taking up the position.
Items Raised
7, Catering Facilities - Reference was made to the limited bar facilities, and the fact that entrance to the Red/Blue bar in the Holmsdale was restricted. It would be helpful for CPFC to clarify facilities/access criteria on the website. The quality of the new catering facilities was mixed, some better than others. However, catering was generally considered overpriced. Pub prices and the introduction of quality beers from around the world were suggested, plus some more interesting food choices.
8. Stadium - At a meeting with the club, it was made clear the position on ownership had been raised in the media, and if there was any information supporters should be aware of in the future, this would be announced. There was concern too that there would be no further improvements to the stadium until it was possibly sold or CPFC reached the Premiership.
9. Standing - There was concern about stewarding and policing operations regarding supporters in V block of the Arthur Waite stand, who just wished to sing Palace songs. It was reported that this seemed to have eased and resolved itself. It was recognised that standing in seated areas prevented others sitting, but this reinforced the view that there should be standing areas.
10. Stewarding - Some concern was expressed about the training level of stewards and the encouragement to retrain when they were paid at a minimal level. This was in terms of their operational duties and attitude. It was mentioned the approach by stewards contributed to difficulties at the Luton home match. 11. Smoking – There was confusion about the smoking position, and where people were able to smoke. It appeared that people were allowed to smoke outside Entrance C3 area. The position needed to be clarified.
12. New Kit - There was disappointment that the club failed to allow a vote on the choice of the current Palace kit. It was expected that the club would arrange for a vote on the new kit for the forthcoming season, but this would need to be raised with sufficient time for a vote.
13. Clinton Morrison – A 100th goal presentation was proposed for Clinton Morrison, similar to that for Dougie Freeman. The club would be approached about arranging and supporting publicising the presentation.
14. Promoting the Club - The diminishing support for the club was noted. It was suggested that there should be more advertising. This might be linked to advertising to community schools, and local football teams encouraging people to go to the club, possibly with an incentive – eg free entrance as an introduction.
Any Other Business
15. There was no other business.
